Question by Bob: question about burton poacher pants, or burton clothing in general?
I am about to buy burton poacher pants, but when reading a review it said “pretty d*** warm for no insulation” does this mean it is almost like wearing actuall pants, or is it thick like snow pants should be, ive never bought anything from buton and i know there return policy isnt really that consumer friendly, thanks

They can be warm because they are waterproof and don’t breathe that great. They aren’t thick at all….if your in a cold place like here in Colorado you will need to have a thermal or something under them on those cold cold days. I recommend 686 smarty cargo if you are looking for a good pair of snowpants. Best pair I have ever had and will def be getting another pair when new shit drops

Walking around the centre of Dublin and close to Temple Bar, what is now a Spar (every supermarket in the centre seemed to be a Spar!) has a more chequered history in its former life.
The old stone decor complete with signage indicates that this building was a former branch of Burton, the men’s clothing shop. Back then it was more to do with tailoring and having clothes to fit you perfectly, hence "the tailor of taste" slogan that appears underneath.
The "monatgue" that appears to the left was because the company was founded by Montague Burton in 1903. A similar sign to this one is also present in their former headquarters in Leeds, which is now used as a warehouse.
